Brother Mearg Mekonnen, in collaboration with Tsilal – Civil Society of West Tigray, provided assistance to children in an IDP shelter. “I will not focus on Tigray alone,” he said, as he distributed three changes of clothes to each of 17 children, along with 5,000 birr (five thousand birr) in cash support.
Speaking at the ceremony, the leadership of Tsilal – Civil Society of West Tigray stated that this donation, during such a difficult time, is a great support and a meaningful act of kindness for the children. They expressed their sincere gratitude for this example, encouraging others to follow in the same spirit.
For his part, Mearg Mekonnen appealed to the Tigrayan diaspora to take part in such good deeds and stand with displaced people.
The mothers of the children who received the assistance said that every Tigrayan and friend of Tigray should follow this initiative and recognize the dire needs of the displaced.
